​Major (Rtd) Gregory Bansa Jana was an army officer commissioned from Royal Military College, Sungai Besi Kuala Lumpur into the Royal Malaysian Signal Regiment in 1977. He subsequently acquired his Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Communications) from the University Technology Malaysia in 1984 and pursued his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics, in Sunderland, England until 1988.

He had past experience in the provision and management of telecommunication facilities for the army in particular, and the Armed Forces in general.  He was trained in the operation and maintenance of both static and tactical radio network systems, field telephone facilities as well as cryptographic systems.  He joined Duta Jasa Sdn Bhd in 1996 as Telekom’s Certified Technical Manager, responsible for the implementation of Telekom’s fixed network infrastructure projects throughout Sarawak.  He is currently, the Executive Director of Datajasa Plus Sdn Bhd, responsible for ensuring the proper and efficient functioning of the various departments in the company, in compliance with his fiduciary duties.
