Chan Siew Loon has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunication sector. He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Communication) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom. For professional qualification, he is a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (MIEM) and a registered Professional Engineer with a Practising Certificate (PEPC) from the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

Chan's career began at Telekom Malaysia in 1978, where he gained extensive work experience, training and exposure to various aspects of telecommunications infrastructure development, including fixed and wireless broadband, fibre optics, and network operations & maintenance. In 2017, he joined Datajasa Plus (DJP) as Senior Manager of Costing and Planning, overseeing the relocation of telecommunications infrastructure for the Project Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak (PBHS). His responsibilities included project management, compliance with Technical Specifications, standard practices, operating procedures and successful handover.
